Location

Burns Howff Club Dumfries meet in the Globe Inn, Dumfries.

This is known to have been Robert Burns favorite ‘Howff’ hence the club name

 

From the South

If you are travelling south follow the M6/ M74 then onto the A75 heading for Dumfries and Stanraer at the first roundabout take left for town centre follow the road straight on through 4 roundabouts and 2 traffic light controlled junctions to enter the oneway system at Shakespear Street  follow this for around 1/4 of a mile where ther is a large car park on the left. The Globe Inn is located in a close off the High Street to the right off Shakespear Street at the traffic light controlled pedestrian crossing.

 

From the North

If you are traveling north followthe A74 or A76 to Dumfries and head towards the river Nith and the Whitesands where there is some car parking alternatively at the end of the road turn left past St. Michaels church and the Jean Armour Statue. There is a large car park on the left in about 1/4 mile.

The Globe Inn and Burns House are both easily accessed from this car park.

 

 

 

By Rail

From the Train station it is just over 1/2 walk to the town centre (the High Street)and The Globe Inn
